Prayer Topics and Announcements

1. We thank God for the message by Dr. Paul Hong. Through this message we ask this question, “What is your life?” This life is God’s gift. We are the manager of this precious life. In this fleeting, temporal and short life, we may have resolute answer about this life soon. First, resolve with others: do not fight and do good. Second, resolve with our God: do not fight and come near to him. Third, resolution with the devil: stand firm and resist. Finally, resolution with ourselves: value your own life.

Let’s pray for the completion of this study of Book of James. We may all practice the truths of this book and teach this book for years to come.

2. Spring Conference: Sunday fellowship leaders met after the sharing to discuss the details. Spring Conference will be from March 27-29, 2009.

3. This week National Staff Meeting will be held in Chicago.

4. Our Pledge drive for Renovation and Expansion is almost at the final stage. Please pray for this completion which is short about $7,000 out of $100,000.

5. M. James Roh came to Toledo to complete his dissertation. Please pray for his completion by next week. Dr. Ezra Park from Japan will visit Toledo from next Tuesday till Friday morning for his research collaboration at University of Toledo and his presentation at the University of Michigan.

Prayer Topics and Announcements

1. We thank God for the message by Dr. Paul Hong.  In James 4, we learn:

First, as disciples of our Lord Jesus, the Great Teacher of all, we may not presume to be teachers, but aspire to be teachers of God’s truths.  We may not carelessly assume the privileges of teaching the Word of God, but sincerely desire to learn and teach the Word of God that is life-giving.

Second, as disciples of our Lord Jesus, we may know destructive and constructive power of our tongue. With our tongue we may corrupt and destroy lives; with our tongue we may inspire and save lives.

Third, as disciples of our Lord Jesus, we may pursue good and rich life that God blesses.   What happens as we love God?  God provides us with good life that God honors. This life is full of deeds done in humility and wisdom from God.

2. Membership meeting was attended by  Shep. John Wilson.  We thank God for the hard work of leaders to carry on world mission.

3. Pray for  Spring Conference March 27-29.

4. Pray for particpation in pledges on renovation project before April 1st.

5. Pray for SongFest. April 4th
