Renovation Project

“God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” (2 Co 9:8 NIV)
In 1975 God began a good work in Toledo. This work began in obedience to Jesus’ Great Commission to preach the good news to all creation (Mk 16:15). Over the past 33 years, Toledo University Bible Fellowship has grown from a house church ministry to a flourishing ministry and regional center for world evangelism that has inspired and sent out more than 50 missionaries.
We purchased an abandoned building at the current site (2841 Dorr Street) for $30,000 in 1989. Since then, we have remodeled and expanded a few areas as needed, yet our main worship service room, and central building has remained largely unchanged. Our vision is to make this facility an important training and education center for the Great Lakes Region and World Mission. We pray to do this while the majority of our founding members are still under 60 years of age. The cost and financing options are extremely favorable right now with very low interest rate, material and labor costs.
Over the past year we have finalized a master facility plan and hope to raise enough money to complete these projects. Our planned renovation and expansion project would start from April 2009. All the preliminary planning, design and parking lot additions have been completed. Committees for Steering and Planning (six members) and Capital Campaign (7 members) have been formed and have been working diligently to make this happen. Through a series of planning meetings, other reports and discussions, our leaders have come to a consensus to approve and commit to this project.
We have now fulfilled our initial pledge goals and procured the necessary financing. The final architectual drawings are being finalizing and are in the process of finding a contractor. We excpect that actual work will begin before the end of May. If would like to receive more information or make a contribution to this project, please submit the information request form below.
